Change the interval time in Picasa Slidshows

Without new technologies to play with, man, it is dxmned hard to add things to Technologies in Ratology... finally, today, something unfolded...

I wanted to change the interval time for the photos appearing in the slideshow of a Picasa photo album.  The default set up is 3 seconds in the code generated by the Picasa interface but I want to change it to 1 second.

After some googling, some expert already provided the solution for this problem back in 2008...

Essentially, at the string "&interval=n" with n indicating the number of seconds before "&RGB."

For instance, I want each picture to appear for only 1 second for Slideshow of the Taipei WTC night scene. Thus, I inserted "&interval=1" in front of &RGB.

Example:
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="https://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="400" height="267" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&noautoplay=1&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&interval=1&RGB=0x000000&feed=https%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2F117440132470710026818%2Falbumid%2F5814335340638005665%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>

The end result... the following slideshow...

Hope it helps.

  1. Fortunately, there are many ways to bypass any security measures your phone might have, and we'll discuss some of these in this article.
