After failing to install for numerous days, miraculously, the Security Update for SQL Server 2005 SP 2 finally got installed successfully at closing time...Got no idea how it happened...
Could it be I downloaded the patch direction from Microsoft?
Could it be I had Nvivo 8 SP 4 uninstalled? (Can't be though since the installation had failed for several days....)
In any case, the update is finally successful.
